Media Library
Media Library
The Media Library is used to manage the media resources in the current questionnaire, including two panels: the Image Library and the Video Library. Media resources can be used by questionnaire questions and variables.
Image Library
Stores all image materials in the questionnaire.
Video Library
Stores all video materials in the questionnaire. Video resources will use the first frame of the video as the thumbnail by default.
Upload Media
Click the upload button to upload media resource files. Once uploaded, the media resources will be displayed in the list.
View Media Information
Select the tool button below the media resource to slide out the information panel, which lists details such as the dimensions and file size of the media.
Replace Media
Click the replace button in the information panel and select a new media file to upload and automatically replace the current media file, while updating all instances of this media resource in the questionnaire.
Locate Media
Media resources used in the questionnaire will have a triangular mark in the upper right corner. In the information panel, hover over the triangular mark of the media resource to display a list of question nodes that reference this media. Click on the question name in the list to quickly locate and center the question. If the triangle is semi-transparent, it indicates that although the media resource is referenced, the node or variable using it is not actually used in the questionnaire.
Delete Media
Delete specified media resources from the Media Library.
Display Layout
The system provides three layout methods for media materials:
- Large Grid
- Small Grid
- Large List
- Small List
And different ways to sort media materials:
- By Time Ascending
- By Time Descending
- lphabetical (A-Z)
- Alphabetical (Z-A)
Using Image Resources
Image resources can be utilized in two ways: the standard setting method and the rich text box embedding method.
Standard Setting Method
Places where images are used through standard settings will display an image selector button. Clicking it pops up the image resource panel, showing all image resources in the current media library. Click on an image to select it. If media variables have been created in the questionnaire, the media variables accessible by the current node will also be listed at the end for selection. You can also directly upload images and use them immediately, with the uploaded images automatically added to the media library.
Rich Text Box Embedding Method
Rich text boxes are input boxes that display a purple border when focused. These input boxes can embed variables. In a rich text box, typing "@" brings up a variable selection list including media variables and images from the media library. Select the desired media resource to embed it as a variable into the text box. During the respondent's answering process, the system will resolve and display the media resource represented by the media variable.
