Translate Questionnaire
Translate Questionnaires
Sometimes, we need to set multiple languages for a questionnaire to cater to different scenarios. The translate questionnaire feature is used to set the default language and the target translation language of the questionnaire. The settings panel displays all the questions of the questionnaire, and each question can have the corresponding target language input next to it until all inputs are completed.
When a questionnaire is set up with multiple languages, respondents will be prompted to select a language when they open the questionnaire, and the system will then present the translated version of the questionnaire.
Default Language
The default language refers to the default language of the current questionnaire, which will be displayed when a respondent opens the questionnaire. The default language of the questionnaire is not linked to the system's default language. This means that even if the system's default language is set to English, the current language of the questionnaire can be set to Chinese.
Rematch Language
When the language entered during questionnaire editing does not match the default language setting, such as when the questionnaire is edited in English but the default language of the questionnaire is set to Chinese, this can cause confusion for the system's language recognition. In such cases, the Correct Language feature can be used to rectify the situation.
Translating Language
The target language that needs to be translated. When a language is added, the selected language will be automatically added to the Translation Language drop-down menu. After selecting it, the system will automatically switch the correspondence between the default language and the translation language.
Automatic Translation
The system will automatically translate based on the settings of the default language and translation language.
Add Language
Select the target language that needs to be translated from the drop-down menu and add it to the Translation Language drop-down menu.
Display Language Name Assistance
The Add Language menu is used to add target languages for the questionnaire, displaying the name of the language in its own script. To facilitate interpretation, turning on this switch will add text descriptions after each language in the menu.
